Cubanelle 1-4 inch pot
The Cubanelle pepper plant (Capsicum annuum) is prized for producing sweet, mild, and thin-walled peppers ideal for frying and stuffing. The plants are easy to grow with proper care and thrive in warm, sunny conditions.
Flavor: The peppers have a sweet, mild flavor with a very low heat range of 0-1000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU), making them much less spicy than a jalapeƱo. When cooked, their flavor is enhanced, often developing honey-like notes.
Appearance: The fruits are typically 4-6 inches long and banana-shaped, often growing in irregular, wrinkled shapes. They are usually harvested when yellow-green but will mature into a brilliant orange-red if left on the plant, becoming slightly sweeter.
Size: Mature plants generally reach 2-3 feet in height.
